How the virtual world and the real world merge and what are the underlying problems for companies.
Still a vague and distant concept, metavers are often defined as a parallel universe, made up of virtual worlds. However, this idea is not new as it was first described in 1964 in Daniel Gallo’s novel “Simulacron 3” published in the United States. The term derived from the contraction of meta and universe is regularly used. Describe a future version of the Internet, where one can have fun and exchange, work, especially transact via NFT. Second Life, in the early 2000’s, paved the way as a pioneer of a social and economic platform based on a micropayment system, where users had the intellectual property of their creations and were free to create their own space and community. But in recent months, this new trend is needed everywhere: especially luxury, but not only. Many companies like Meta (ex-Facebook) or Microsoft are investing heavily there. Creating immersive 3D spaces, new generation events, 3D commerce, sales of virtual products or works of art, augmented reality, incarnation, … in this context, how the virtual world and the real world merge, and above all, what opportunities it represents for the company. ? Today, at Microsoft France, he is responsible for developing all infrastructure solutions, artificial intelligence and mixed reality services, the Internet of Things (IoT), as well as developer animation. Finally, our third guest is Emanuel Vivier, co-founder of the HUB Institute (a digital think tank founded in 2012) and an expert in digital conversion and digital marketing. For over 20 years, he has advised many big brands such as TF1, L’Oréal, Orange, Chanel, P&G, Vinci Energies, Nestlé, Renault, Bouygues, PwC, Air France … on their digital transformation and 360 communication strategies. He co-authored “The Guide to Digital Transformation” and “The Future Guide to Human Resources and Management”.
