A mother has installed a baby monitor in her son’s bedroom to observe him after noticing that he is tired and restless all the time – just to discover a sudden movement there that makes his spine tremble …
“Don’t worry, honey. It’ll be all right. Mom’s here,” Alicia whispered as she hugged her son Edwin. The boy woke up in the middle of the night and refused to stop crying.
After a while, Alicia had to take all her files and her laptop from the sofa to the front table and sit on the sofa with Edwin to sing a lullaby. It didn’t seem to work for the first 10 minutes, but eventually it happened and Alicia breathed a sigh of relief.
He gently replaces Edwin in the cradle of his room, kisses him on the forehead, gently closes the door to keep him awake, and returns to work.
“How am I going to handle this? I hope you stay here, John! I miss you!” The woman thought as she walked into the kitchen for a cup of coffee.
When doctors told Alicia Silvers and her husband John that they could not have children, they decided to travel the world. Shows at the Sydney Opera House, quiet beaches in Honolulu, tables and buffets in Las Vegas, and royal fjords in Bergen.
They were planning a trip to the Bahamas when Alicia discovered that she was Was pregnant. They returned to their hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina to celebrate the moment with close friends and neighbors.
Alicia and John both grow up in an orphaned and foster family. Alicia was a housewife when John worked as the general manager of a company that makes household electronics components.
They had everything they wanted in a happy married life. They had a wonderful home in a beautiful area, they enjoyed each other’s company and now they enjoy being parents. But unfortunately, this happiness did not last long, as Alicia’s world collapsed one unfortunate night.

“Hello? Am I talking to Alicia Silver?”
“Yes, how can I help you?”
“It’s Officer Duncan, ma’am. I’m sorry to tell you that your husband was killed in a horrific car accident on the Farm Road Highway. We got your contact number on his phone. We’ll appreciate it if you can come and confirm it. Body as soon as possible.”
Alicia couldn’t believe what she was hearing! That morning, John told her he had to leave town for a business meeting. She didn’t want to leave him and told him she didn’t feel good about it. But he convinced her that he was overreacting and that everything would be fine.
Alicia was then 7 months pregnant. When John insisted on leaving for his meeting, he fell silent and kissed her goodbye. He promised to return soon, but when he heard the terrible news, he could not take the shock and began to contract.

Luckily, he quickly dialed his neighbor, Mrs. Hall, who quickly came home and called 911. Alicia was rushed to the hospital, where she gave birth to a baby boy.
However, due to her premature birth, she was admitted to the NICU (Intensive Care Unit specialized in the care of sick or premature newborns) for some time.
When Alicia and the baby were released from the hospital, she took charge of John’s business and began working to support her son. It didn’t take him long to understand the dynamics of the business, as he had an MBA. Problems arose because Edwin was too young and constantly demanded his mother’s attention.
Madison, John’s secretary, was extremely helpful and understood his situation. So he advises Alicia to work from home and helps her arrange her work so that Alicia can take care of her baby.
Yes, Alicia could have hired a nanny to take care of the boy, but she didn’t want to. She wanted to take care of her baby, so she started working from home. Thus, somehow, Alicia was able to take care of her son and work at the same time.
Thus almost a year has passed. Alicia had no idea that soon another problem would knock on her door.

When Alicia made herself a cup of coffee and went to the living room, she packed up all her files and decided to finish the day’s reports. It took him half an hour to finish his work at 1 o’clock, and the woman lay down on the sofa because of fatigue.
Suddenly, Edwin woke up at 8am crying. She jumped up and ran to him, where she saw tears streaming down her cheeks like a waterfall.
“What’s the matter, darling? Are you hungry?” She began to shake him. For the second time in a week, Alicia noticed that Edwin was restless and crying uncontrollably in his sleep.
She looked inside her goat to see if there was anything to excite her, but she couldn’t find anything. He finally concluded that he could get better after a while and decided to wait and see if the crying continued.

Fortunately, after about a week, Edwin suddenly stopped crying, which was a great relief for his mother, but she seemed very tired every day. She kept smiling and touching his face whenever he picked her up or tried to play with her, and the toys she liked seemed distasteful to her.
Worried, he contacted a doctor about it, but it didn’t seem very effective either.
“I’m worried because he seems very calm most of the time, doctor, but he looks tired in the morning. Why is that?” Alicia asked anxiously.
“Don’t worry, Mrs. Silvers. The kids seem to have a phase,” the doctor explained. “Perhaps Edduin is going to the same stage.”
“But how long will it take for her to get better? I’m really worried about her.”
“Don’t worry, Mrs. Silvers. There is no deadline, but everything will be fine. It varies from baby to baby.”
Assuming it was one of those stages, Alicia hoped Edwin would get better soon. But a week passed and there was no relief, and Edwin seemed more and more tired as each day passed.

One afternoon, Alicia decides to go see him after she falls asleep and hears a strange noise from her bedroom. Edwin seemed to be smiling and there was someone in his room. At first she thought it was just her imagination because she opened the door but couldn’t find anyone inside.
Edwin was staring at her from his goat, and the house was terribly quiet. She looked in the bathroom, in the wardrobe and under the bed, but there was no one in the room.
Alicia returned to the living room, thinking it was work-related stress, but the activity continued the next day and the next day. Every day, Edwin would wake up from his deep sleep, either laughing or just looking around the room.
Thinking something was wrong, Alicia set up a Wi-Fi baby monitor inside to monitor Edwin and watch live footage in the living room.
He fixed his gaze on the screen, staring at it intently and for the first few minutes everything seemed fine. However, after about ten minutes, he noticed a sudden movement in the room and Edwin’s lips began to move.
Fearing that someone had entered Edwin’s room, Alicia rushed to his room and pushed open the door. Her hands were shaking, and she was trembling with fear as she realized that her baby was not alone in the house.

However, Alicia breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that the visitor was none other than a cute little dog wandering around Edwin’s cage. It sounded dirty and weak and it made a low sound that was hard to hear.
When Alicia opens Edwin’s door, the little dog hides behind Edwin’s cage. Edwin laughed, and then Alicia realized what had happened.
It turns out that Alicia and John had a pet dog named Doublo and they forgot to close the dog’s door in the back of the bedroom after they died. This room was Double’s playground, but after his death it was converted into a nursery in Edwin.
As much as John had left his heavenly home and after Edwin’s birth, Alicia had completely forgotten to close the dog’s door. And so the little dog came into the room, playing with Edwin all the time, and refused to let him sleep.
Alicia, seeing the poor animal in this condition, took pity on him and decided to adopt him. Caspar, as she called him, is now Edwin’s best friend. Thanks to little Caspar, Edwin no longer cries, sleeps well because Alicia makes sure they don’t spend all their time together, and a much happier baby.
