Pierre & Vacances gives its customers the opportunity to join the LEA Association through the Pop in Avery’s Solidarity Challenge!
- The Solidarity Challenge of the LÉA Association during Pop in Avery
Pop in the City is a 100% female urban adventure that helps you travel differently. This Saturday, July 2, a special mixed version happened in the mountains of Avoriaz. This sporting event, and, above all, allowed participants to discover the resort in a different way: Equipped with a map of the city, the pair had to take on as many challenges as possible over an 8-hour period.
For this first edition at Averyage, Pop in the City has joined forces with Pierre and Vacancies, which has opened accommodation at preferred rates (L’Amara, Atria-Krojats and Saskia Faliz accommodation) for the event and offered a 15% discount on its customers. Event registration.
The 26 challenges in this mixed edition are divided into five categories: Culture, Art, Sports, Solidarity and Extreme. In the Solidarity section, Pierre & Vacances invites its association partner, the LÉA Association, to launch its own challenges.
While some of Pop’In the City’s events offered solidarity challenges, it seemed clear to us to associate LÉA with this version for which we were the official partner. It is a unique opportunity to make participants aware of the association’s mission, as well as provide the necessary support to create survival kits or personalize caps for sick children. “
Anna Almeida, PVCP Group Media Relations Manager and Pierre & Vacancies X Pop in the City Partnership Coordinator.
The LÉA Association (Lutter Ensemble Autre) assists the families of sick and / or disabled children in their daily lives and gives children time off during their care journey. It has been supported by the Pierre & Vacancies and the PVCP Group Foundation since April 2021.
The association has recently created a new project “My little thing” This includes distributing hospital survival kits including toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel, game books, etc. These kits allow families, parents and children who want to spend an unexpected night in the hospital not to miss anything!
Organizing The Pop in Event and the 400 participants of the event was therefore a fitting opportunity to bring this project to life!
Solidarity Challenge n ° 1: Compose survival kits as much as possible
At the end of the day, participants in the challenge collected 500 survival kits!
Solidarity Challenge n ° 2: Arrange caps for children with cancer.
At the same time, the association wanted to distribute personalized caps to make children with cancer smile this summer. 350 caps have been fitted and will soon be distributed to the pediatric oncology department of the association’s partner hospital.
This event is first and certainly not the last for our team! The proposed Solidarity Challenge touches all participants. Explaining the causes of these challenges increases their motivation and their strength manifold. We often sweat from the eyes … Many participants have had difficult times in the hospital; They were all more motivated and invested. “
– Jessica Dad, Solidarity Fairy for the LEA Association
Following the success of the Averyas edition, the LEA Association team will repeat the experience during the Pop in the City edition in Marseille on October 1 and 2, 2022. This broad solidarity helps the association greatly to make the ongoing “Little Volunteer“ Looking Hands ”projects a reality and to bring back smiles on children’s faces and bring relief to families.
After allowing PVCP Group employees to engage with its partner associations, the PVCP Group Foundation pledges solidarity with holidaymakers on the group’s tourist sites, according to the needs of all associations. Vacationers can thus have a cause close to their heart!
